The Most Unique Sand Dunes in the World?

Happy Friday and welcome to your favorite source of international travel inspiration. I do the work, you reap the benefits đŸ€—.

Here’s what’s on the itinerary today:

The most unique sand dunes in the world?

Stay in the Scottish Highlands

This cozy cottage is a Scottish hidden gem. Situated near great local food, quaint yet thriving villages, nice shopping, and interesting history, this Airbnb has everything you’ll need for an off-the-beaten-path experience in the gorgeous Scottish Highlands—and I’m pleased to report it is travel-tested, thanks Mom đŸ€—. Be sure to interact with the friendly locals to uncover your own hidden gems in the area!

Caution: beware of incredibly tiny sinks across Scotland 😂. You may even notice one in the pictures for this Airbnb.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry in Costa Rica

I really don’t know what part of this meal was the best: the food, the view, or the fact that we were pretty much the only ones there, but to this day it is one of the most memorable meals of my life. We had the coconut shrimp, the coffee-rubbed beef tenderloin skewers, a few other items and washed it all down with a few Coco Locos. For those who enjoy dinner and a view, don’t miss this restaurant right on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen! 😍

Experience in Brazil

Lençois Maranhenses National Park — Maranhão, Brazil

Here’s a spot that’s been on my bucket list for years: Lençois Maranhenses in Brazil. Situated right on the central coast, this popular spot for eco-tourists is home to a fascinating natural phenomenon. During the rainy season, the valleys among the dunes fill with freshwater lagoons, unable to drain due to the impermeable rock beneath. The result is pictured above. The park is also home to four animals listed on the Brazilian List of Endangered Species, making it the perfect spot for nature lovers!

Fat Bear Week đŸ»

My favorite week of the year has just wrapped up. That’s right, another Fat Bear Week in Alaska’s Katmai National Park has come to a close. The storied tradition going back to 2014 celebrates these hefty animals that make the park their home. For bears, fat = survival, so beefing up is an incredibly important task to accomplish before winter arrives.

This year, a new champion has arrived on the scene. Meet Grazer, pictured above.
