My Favorite Local Brooklyn Dinner Spot

Welcome to the BEST travel newsletter on the planet and your favorite source of travel inspiration—I scour the internet and the globe to bring you the dream team of travel recommendations.

Before we get to the content today, I will be taking next week off for the Thanksgiving holiday—meaning I will be the only brand NOT in your inbox on Black Friday. The good news is that I will be traveling which means more amazing content for you come December 1st. 🤗

"I'm a big believer that you're never going to find the perfect travel experience or the perfect meal without a constant willingness to experience a bad one. Letting the happy accident happen is what a lot of vacation itineraries miss, I think, and I'm always trying to push people to allow those things to happen rather than stick to some rigid itinerary.”

- Anthony Bourdain

Here’s what’s on the itinerary today:

Swim in the Baltic Sea

Stay in Beirut, Lebanon

Another Lebanese recommendation from my lovely sister:

5-star hotel in a popular neighborhood in East Beirut, with not-so-5-star prices? That’s a win for us! The hotel features European comfort combined with Lebanese hospitality. And let me tell ya, Lebanese hospitality is LEGENDARY! They will go above and beyond with local recommendations, restaurants, nightlife, etc. Such a welcoming, inclusive, and loving culture.

Check out this hotel if you’re looking to visit Beirut in style 😎.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry in Brooklyn, New York

Ladies & Gentlemen, it’s time.

I give you my favorite local restaurant — Miss Ada (pronounced AHHHH-da).

Miss Ada is a small, cozy Mediterranean restaurant in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. They serve up some delicious small plates, entrees, and wine with great service.

There’s something dangerously addictive about their whipped ricotta topped with honey and sage and served with fresh, warm, fluffy pita quarters.

Experience in Stockholm, Sweden

Swim in the Baltic Sea at Långholmsbadet

Given the proximity to the North Pole, I can really only recommend this activity in the summer… and even then it is a little cold, but I promise it’s refreshing! This little swimming bay was probably the highlight of my time in Stockholm. It can get fairly busy around mid-day, but the dip is well worth it.

Stockholm is likely the most unique city I have visited due to its geography. The city is made up of 14 different islands, but the entire archipelago consists of ~30,000 islands, islets (baby islands), and skerries (rocky islets). I’d highly recommend scootering around Stockholm. Scooters are everywhere and the bike lanes make it safe and easy to get to wherever you need to go. 🛴

Carry On

I always enjoy checking out what the large publications deem to be the “best in travel.” Travel is entirely subjective, so everyone’s list is typically very different. But it’s cool to see what is trending for the year to come.
